How to disable email notification in Acrobat Sign?

Explorer ,
Sep 29, 2020 Sep 29, 2020

I am testing this currently. When I send this, I receive an email with confirmation. Within this email is this comment: When <email> completes <Document> all parties will receive a final PDF copy by email.
Does this mean that EVERY person in the Send box that a document is sent to for signature, will receive notification when each person signs it??? If so, can this be deactivated??

Hi Richard,

You need to contact support and ask them to make this change for you.

This change can be made for your entire accout(all send by all users), for a group(for send from users in that group), or even for one specific user.

This setting is not available from the "Front End" but must be changed by Adobe support.

Hi Christie,

Sorry for the delay in response.

There is no option to disable that setting in the Adobe Sign account.

Whenever the document is signed and filed, the signer will get an automatic email with an option to download the document.

However, you may try contacting the support team and check if they can disable this setting from there end.

As you have an Adobe Sign Team account, refer to the steps mentioned below to contact support:

Hi!

I hope you are doing well.

From the description shared, what I can understand is that you want to disable the email notifications: signed and filed to the signers? If yes, this can be disabled and the feature is available with the Adobe Sign Team, Business, and Enterprise service level.

You can disable it from the Account > Account Settings > Global Settings. The detailed steps can be found here: https://helpx.adobe.com/sign/using/quick-setup-guide.html

Hi MysticHydro,

Thank you for reaching out, and sorry about the delay in response.

If the document is sent to him for signature on which the notification is received, then you will need to change the settings for the document's sender.

You may disable the notification under Shared notifications. Use the steps suggested in the following help document: https://helpx.adobe.com/sign/kb/how-to-adjust-email-notifications-in-adobe-sign.html.

Hope the information helps.

Thanks,

Meenakshi

Unfortunately, S.S., you suggestion isn't the answer. Recipents don't typically have accounts that are shared with me which is the trigger for these notifications you suggest. "Shared Notifications is a separate set of email and event triggers for the agreements of users that have shared their accounts with you." It really isn't even clear how or why someone would share their account with someone and because my recipents don't "share" their accounts with me, I can't control the notifications. Ad

Is there are a way to just receive the Final Signed Email, I found these setting to be all or nothing. You get an email everytime someone signs and then the final, or you do not get any. Is there an option to get the email for the Completed Agreement Only?

Hi Janet!

Thank you for reaching out.

As I understand, you wish that you receive only the final email along with a copy of the signed or completed document.

It seems that you are looking for an option under the "My Notifications". There is no option available for completed document notification under My Notifications or the Shared Notifications. You may enable or disable the email notification for all the options mentioned there as per your requirement.

To receive an email for the final document, you may use the following workaround.

- In Adobe Sign account, go to Account > Account Settings > External Archive

- Under the "Send an extra copy of every signed agreement to these email addresses", enter the email address on which you wish to send the final document email.

- Click on the Save button appear at the bottom of the window.

Now, the email address that you have added in the box will receive an email with the final document. You may disable the other email notifications options under the My Notification or Shared Notifications.

Check if that helps.

Let us know if you have any questions.

Thanks,

Meenakshi

Hi!

I have a form template that we use in which the signers have no need to get the final signed copy automatic email sent to them.

Is there anyway to change in the settings so that this final notification email is not sent out to all of the signers once all signatures are received and filed?

Thanks in advance!

• It will re-direct you to the page where you get the option to create the support case or to start a chat with the team.

• If you've never logged in this way, use the forgot password option on the login link to set your password.

Hope that answers your query.

Thank you for putting this in writing. It is one of the most frustrating features of Adobe Sign workflow - especially when you have three approver/signers as well as yourself and a finished contract at the end.
Can be up to 5 emails. And if you are the person designing the form, you can get hundreds of emails and you don't know which is which (they are so similar it gets confusing).

One of our directors signs a lot of documents through Adobe Acrobat Sign. The problem is he's getting email notifications of "You're done signing" after he has signed a document. It's an unneeded notification because he's aware that he just signed it. This is only happening on documents sent from one individual and not everyone. Who's account do I need to change the settings on? I'm guessing the sender's notification settings. Which setting needs to be changed? Is it the "Agreement Signed or Approved" email notification under My Profile > Personal Preferences > My Notifications? For some reason, it's confusing in how each category is named and what it's referring to as I would assume My Notifications would be for me and not for notifications for documents that I send out. Thanks for your help in advance!

Did this actually work? When I attempt to disable all "shared notifications" all signers still get emails. I don't want the signers to get "completed" emails because it clutters their inbox and that isn't needed for my document. I really want to change it but it seems like individuals can only make this change if they have an Adobe Sign account, which they don't. How is it not an option to change notifications for signers?!

Hi @doyouhappentoma,

Hope you are doing well. Thanks for reaching out!

The settings you are looking for are available under the Shared Notifications settings in your account.

More info about it here: https://adobe.ly/46bqdUR

Hope this helps.

Additionally, for someone else to control their own notifications, they must have an Adobe Sign lisense which most people don't have.

While I was testing and racking my brain trying to come up with a soluation to this notification problem, I did figure out that creating Custom Workflows in Adobe Sign can add a layer for recipent notification choices. I can't explain the different between sending a template through the "use template" option or the "custom workflow" option but when I "used template" I couldn't change recipent notifications and when I used a "custom workflow" I built with the same template, I had options to not send recieipents notifications. It is mostly what I needed but definitely still has issues (it is marked to send the sender [me] an email when it is all signed but it doesn't).

Anyway, workflow helped with the issue. I don't know why the built in "use template" system is so terrible and limited in its notification options.
