I would like to utilize the I9 form, however I am unsure of how to fill out the part of the employer before sending it to the prospective independent contractor.

Hello Shaconda,

In order to enter information for signers while sending document out, you would need to set the role of respective text fields as "Prefill by Sender" and then can initiate sending document out.

Let me know if that helps.

You're not completing the I-9 in the correct order. The employee or contractor completes Part 1 first, by the first day of employment but only after an offer has been accepted (so they can complete it before their start date). Once Part 1 is complete, the employer completes Part 2.

You should set up yourself as a second signer or counter-signer so that once the employee completes the form, you're sent the form to finish. Not the other way around.
