Unable to Send Document - Operation Failed!

Community Beginner ,
Sep 28, 2021 Sep 28, 2021

Hi!

Over the past few weeks, my team has been trying to send contracts for signatures via the Adobe Sign app on their iPad. Unfortunately, they have been getting an error as follows: Unable to Send Document - Operation Failed!

I have had them restart their iPads, update the Adobe Sign app, uninstall and reinstall the Adobe Sign app, and send different types of files with no success. Does anyone know how to fix this issue?

Thanks in advance!

Hi Mackie,

Thank you for reaching out and sorry about the trouble.

As you receive error on the mobile application, did you check if you can send the document for signature usign the desktop machine or via browser on iOS device?

Share the Adobe Sign and iOS version currently in use on iPad devices.

It would be helpful if you can share the screenshot of the error message and a small video of the issue occuring at your end.

Thanks,

Meenakshi

Hi Meenaskshi,

We are able to log in and send for signatures via desktop and on the iPad's web browser.

We are currently on the newest update of Adobe Sign and on iOS 13.3. I have reached out to my sales staff to see if they are able to send over a video of what is happening when they try to send an agreement.

Thank you for your help,

Mackie

Hello, we are having the same issue, and it started last week.   Did you resolve this? If so I would grealty appreciate the resolution as we are about to cancle our subscription.   This is the issue were are having:

While customer facing, we use adobe acrobat APP for IPAD to create our contracts and adobe sign APP for IPAD to have them signed. As of last week, the APPs have stopped consistently communicating. We have been using the apps for the last few years without issue so something has changed. We have deleted all apps reinstalled. signed out and signed in and updated the iPad IOS and apps. nothing has resolved the issue. We are able to fill in the document in acrobat, and then send a copy to sign, however when sign is attempting to render/build the contract it fails and notes " unable to send document, Operation Failed"

Has there been a resolution to this problem? It's happening now to my team.

Yes I also faxed this issue. How to resolve? The problem got worse. Previously, I could attach the file on a second attempt. Now, I cannot attach the file no matter how many times I tried.

I'll throw my hat in here and state that we are experiencing the exact same symptoms on the iPad.  We can send for signature on the desktop without issue.  The iPad problems started within the last 2 weeks.

We are receiving either the "Unable to Send Document..." message (as an alert box) or another message (as a "banner" message at the top of the page) that reads "The page you are trying to access is not valid".

Multiple users are having this issue and have stated that it started about 2 weeks ago.

Same issue for me: "Unable to Send Document. Operation Failed!"  The exclamation point is particularly annoying.

I have experienced the same issue, when trying to send a document for e-signature I receive a similar notice  of "operation failed". I use the document cloud to attach documents from my iPad. One solution that worked for me was, once I attempted to send the document and received the notice, I deleted the document and re-attached it, then attempted to send and the document loaded properly. Hopefully they get this issue resolved soon, but this appears to be a band-aid until then for me.

Hi, I am also experiencing this issue. Using version v3.26.0. I have tried logging out, restarting all the devices, and reinstalling the app. Still does not fix the issue. Is there a resolution to this? It's been occurring for several months now and trying to find any contact info for adobe sign is a nightmare. I'm regrading the purchase of this software.

We still have not found a resolution to this either. We are looking to change programs since we pay for this service monthly.

Hi Jill25158674cyls,

Sorry about the delay in response.

If the issue still occurs, would you mind sharing more information to further investigate the issue:

-  Share the Acrobat Sign and iOS version number on the device.

-  Share the screen recording of the workflow used.

-  Check if the issue occurs with all the files you try to attach.

We will be sharing the information with the team to look into this.

Thanks,

Meenakshi

LATEST

Hello! We are having the exact same issue. App and iOS are the latest versions. We go to templates, input the recipients email and name, then click send. After clicking send, it looks like it sends, then says the exact same error as OP.
