Someone please help me. I can't import .wav or mp3 files into Aero. Has anyone ever had this problem?
Thanks,
Jos
Hi Jos,
In order to use audio files on Aero, you have to add a Play Audio action to a given trigger within the Behavior System.
More details here: https://helpx.adobe.com/aero/using/add-audio-to-digital-assets-adobe-aero.html
Hi lisah84437736,
Because audio files can only be represented and used through the Play Audio action, the only way to import audio files is through the import button (look for the litthe folder icon) in the properties panel of the Play Audio action.
The standard File > Import (or drag and drop) does not import audio files.
You can find more details of how to use audio files here: https://helpx.adobe.com/aero/using/add-audio-to-digital-assets-adobe-aero.html
I SORTED IT!!!!
The problem is because of the extension. My files were .MP3 and AERO will only accept .mp3. OMG!!!!! This has just wasted so much of my time. Anyway thats the fix! Hope it helps.

The issue is not being able to import an audio asset in the first place. The app doesn't recognize any .mp3 files to import. Is this issue recognized and being resolved?

Hi ReenaK_18
Could you please clarify what you mean by "the app does't recognize any mp3 files to import"?
Also, if you could provide the follwong information that would help the team figure out the issue:
Thank you in advance for helping figuring out what your issue might be.

Hi there, I am having the same problem. Aero doesn't recognize my .mp3 files that I am trying to import. This is well before I get anywhere near the triggers etc. I am on a Mac M1pro OS Ventura.

Additionally the .mp3 file type doesn't show in the All Formats drop down menu on the import menu and the file is greyed out.

Was this ever resolved? I am having the same problem and it is extremely frustrating. Wasted 2 hours of my day on hold to be told to "read the FAQ and good luck."

Hi etwewehrw9rjwe09r
Sorry to hear you're having issues with audio files in Aero.
Could you elaborate and provide more info on the problem you're facing?
More specifically are your trying to import audio files through the (+) button (on a mobile device) or the File > Import menu (on a desktop computer)?
If so, that workflow is not currently supported in Aero.
As mentionned above, because audio files are only meaningful when associated with a PlayAudio action (so that you can control when to trigger the playback of the audio), you would need to:

This worked for me just fine, but only after a few attempts. It seems that Aero needs a bit of processing time (aka, patience on my part) for it to recognize and import the file. A thousand thanks!

Well Gilbert, sadly your advice which may be the right advice in most circumstances, is not correct for me. I had already added a Play Audio action to my trigger like you advised. For good measure I looked at the Helpx.adobe.com link that you had sent and studied lots of tutorial from Adobe and others on YouTube. It just doesn't work. When I try to MP3 files in the audio panel, I get a message saying Load Failure. Couldn't import Audio. I've done updates. I even removed aero from my computer and re-installed it. I am on a Mac MOntery 12.6.3. Ive tried importing audio from my computer and from the cloud. I've tried importing on both the desktop and mobile. This is a problem that I have been trying to figure out since November but now it would be really helpful if it was solved

I just had this same issue and I found the ONLY way to add in audio is to go directly to Behavior > + > Play Audio. From there you select the folder icon and will have access to your audio file. If I tried to import it directly, Aero would not recognize the audio file as an asset for import regardless of permissions or the file type. I hope this helps!

That's how I do it also, from Gilbert D's Dec 07, 2022 post on this thread.

I feel you dude- I'm having the exact same problem.
I go into behaviours and add a 'play audio' action, select my .mp3 file (which is only 15 seconds long and 275KB) through the folder icon, and get a little 'Load Failure: Couldn't import audio' pop up
I've tried everything I can think of to fix it, so if ANY mods would like to fix this that would be much appreciated

Hello.
Somehow yesterday I fixed the problem! I think my file name was too long...? Once I changed the name it imported so honestly, I don't know what happened
Anyway, thankyou and have a nice day!
