Hello, I am expert at rockpaperreality.com
Certainly, it's great to hear about your interest in using Adobe Aero for an in-person activation event in LA! Adobe Aero allows you to create immersive AR experiences, and anchoring assets to specific locations within a venue is indeed possible.
To achieve this, you can use Aero's spatial tracking and anchoring capabilities. Here's a brief overview of how you can accomplish this:
Create Your AR Assets: First, you'll need to create the AR assets you want to anchor in your venue. These could be 3D models, images, animations, or videos that you want app users to interact with when they're in specific locations.
Use Spatial Anchors: Adobe Aero supports spatial anchors, which allow you to fix AR content to specific points or areas in the physical world. You can place spatial anchors at the desired locations within your venue using the Aero app.
Design Your Experience: In the Adobe Aero app, you can design your AR experience by importing your assets and positioning them relative to the spatial anchors you've placed. This ensures that when users view the venue through the app, they'll see the anchored assets in the correct locations.
Testing and Refinement: It's crucial to thoroughly test your AR experience within the venue to ensure that the assets are anchored correctly and that the interactions work as intended. You can use the app's preview mode to simulate how users will experience your activation.
User Accessibility: Ensure that users attending your event are aware of the Adobe Aero app and how to access your AR experience. Providing clear instructions and access points to download the app can enhance user engagement.
By following these steps, you can anchor assets to specific areas in your venue, creating a universally accessible AR experience for your event attendees. Adobe Aero's user-friendly interface and spatial tracking features should make the process relatively straightforward.
Remember to plan your content and interactions thoughtfully to maximize the impact of your AR activation at the event. If you encounter any specific technical challenges or have more detailed questions about using Adobe Aero for your project, feel free to reach out for further assistance. Good luck with your event in LA!

Hi @markhellar , I made a test with friends using iPhone 13 Pro Max and Samsung S20 Plus, where I sent them a link to an AR experience created with Aero. Despite my understanding from reading the documentation that users wouldn't need to download anything, every device was required to download Adobe Aero before being able to experience the AR. Am I missing something or has there been a change in Adobe's process?
Thanks

Aero won't generate a share link on desktop and mobile apps. I have great interest from our agency to continue using this software to develop interactive stations within our facility. I can't move forward until I can show that the software will produce QR codes. Please help. Thank you.

Hi there! I just installed Adobe Aero and about an hour ago I created what I would dub my first "Alpha" VR experience. I have both the URL and the QR code, along with the app installed on my Samsung S21 Ultra (Android 13), but every time I try to access the experience via URL, or QR code (i.e. same thing), all I can pull up is the title of my project before Aero goes back to the main selection screen. I can't actually get my project to be viewable. Any suggestions?

Hello Mark
Does Aero cap the resolution of the camera when using the video mode? If so is it possible to change this in a setting to film in say 4K mode with different frame rates? This would improve the quality of output of our scenes to show clients etc
Thanks,
Darren

Hi Mark,
This sounds interesting. Would like to understand if there is any local AR / developer community for Aero? Can we start one for India region?
Btw, I am Prerak Gala, Co-Lead, Meta Developer Circle: Mumbai and we have created a strong AR ecosystem in Mumbai, India. Would like to connect with you over a meet or an email to discuss it further 🙂
Please let us know your thoughts.

I am very interested in using Aero and placing a piece via GPS coordinates or a Google Map. I heard Aero was working on this - placing an AR object in a location without having to go there oneself - accessibility issues. Thanks for any help.

Hi @markhellar. I'm using Aero Beta as a way of engaging people in archival photography of place. I can put several images in a single project, meaning people can walk around a very small area and see multiple photographs in AR. Would it be possible to create an embed function for IIIF or URL, so that the file streams from other servers? It means less replication across the internet making for fewer servers holding the same file. It would also mean being able to use files held already in public archives as well as those held in my own. In this way, archives would connect through Aero, which would be significant, since archives tend not to connect easily! Really love to trial this. Ben

Hi @markhellar, are you still supporting this forem? I'm having an issue with triggering an AR experience from an image anchor. I've done this before but this time the AR animaiton won't play after scannign the print image. I can hear the audio that is associated with thew AR experience, but I cannot see the animation. Has there been any one else with issues like this?

Hello Mark,
If I link a scene from Adobe Aero to a QR code, it does not immediately link to the Aero app. What is the correct way to link this? I opened the app on my iPhone and scan the QR code with another app... nothing happens. When I click on the Aero app, I see the scene appear after a few seconds.
Can you also indicate when there will be an update from Adobe Aero.
I have many requests for work, but I don't dare to accept them all because Adobe Aero does not always work...
Greetings Michiel

Hello, Im new to using Adobe Aero. I tried to take an image of a potted plant. I used the polycam app (as i don't know what else to use ,recommend another app if applicable). The image looks good in polycam app however when i send the image as an fbx into Adobe Aero the image is all white. Adobe seems to acknowledge the shape and size and strutcture but the material or lack of a better word image is an all white silhouette. How do I fix this going forward? Is there a fix or something I should buy to fix such an issue as I would like to improve.

Hi Mark, It looks like I can’t send a rigged fbx animation directly from mixamo to adobe creative cloud anymore.per the instructions it wants me to download the fbx and add the asset to the project instead.but when I try that it is now a incompatible or unrecognizable file.Does aero still support mixamo animations or am I doing something wrong ?The model is one that I uploaded and was auto rigged with Maximo and I chose the first fbx option (binary) 30 frames and none key frame reduction. I attached the file if you want to take a look. Thanks!

Hi Mark I love Aero. The only thing missing is the ability to open up a youtube/vimeo video and maybe websites in the experiences. Is having the ability to place a playable video on a target something Aero is working on or considering. It would be the cherry on top of an amazing program.

Hi Mark,
I'm going to use Adobe Aero to create AR artwork that I want to host on my oun landing page. Adobe Aero exports to a .real file format which I can not use without some kind of conversion. The WordPress plugin I'm using will import USDZ, GLB and GLTF 3D model file formats. Is there anything you can do to help me?

Hey @markhellar,
Would really love the ability to lock objects in place when they are activated by an image anchor. This would allow precision for indoor experiences that utilize the built environment and have very low tolerance for misplaced horizontal or vertical anchors. I imagine this feature could be pretty easily integrated as the functionality is already present in horizontal and vertical anchors. Also i love the work you and your team are doing with this software and can't wait to see how it evolves this year!

Hi @Harley24160393uqm2 and @markhellar hope you are doing great... I saw this post and I have a question that aligns with yours. How to lock objects to an specific anchor, I basically would like to place an AR object over a physical object. For example I have a cup on the table and I want to place over it/project another cylindrical object over it... in all my tests the 3D space does not quite lock in as I walk near the object. Thank you!

Hi, I tried using aero on my iPhone today after a few months hiatus, I've noticed I'm unable to access any new files. Glb or gtlF. I used to be able to add them to creative cloud and access them inside the app. I'm unable to access any new files I've created now. Did something change? Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Could you please help me? I am at wits end. I have tried everything and no luck. Aero all of sudden is not showing anything on my desktop app (windows) in the Edit or Preview window. It's the same for projects I load and the objects that come with Aero. The items are there but it's not displaying them. I talked with Adobe support and we installed the latest drivers and still nothing. It's the smae for the pre release and the beta version.

Hi @markhellar! 👋
I'm having trouble getting my Adobe Aero experiences to work on Android devices. I've created several AR experiences, and when users try to view them via QR code, they are prompted to download the Adobe Aero app from the Google Play Store.
This seems unnecessary, as they only need the Aero Player (beta) app to view the experiences. When they click "Learn More," they are taken to a FAQ page that lists their device as supported, but the experience still doesn't work.
Have other people encountered this issue? Any advice on how to get my AR experiences working correctly on Android devices would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!
