Adobe Express: Schedule Feature Bug Report - Cross-Platform Video Publishing Issues

New Here ,
Jan 12, 2025 Jan 12, 2025

Issue Summary

The Schedule feature is not functioning as expected when attempting to publish Reels content across multiple social media platforms simultaneously.

Current Behavior

When scheduling a video for publication across 5 social media platforms:

  • Instagram: Successfully publishes to Reels ✓
  • Facebook: Publishes to Videos section instead of Reels ✗
  • LinkedIn: Publishes as regular video post ✓
  • X.com: No publication occurs ✗
  • Pinterest: No publication occurs ✗

Example of Issue

The same content published through Adobe Express Schedule feature resulted in:

As shown in these examples, identical content is being published to different sections on different platforms, with Facebook incorrectly placing the content in the Videos section instead of Reels.

Expected Behavior

  • Instagram: Should publish to Reels
  • Facebook: Should publish to Reels (currently goes to Videos)
  • LinkedIn: Should publish as regular video post
  • X.com: Should publish as regular video post
  • Pinterest: Should publish as regular video post

Primary Bug

The most critical issue is that Facebook publishes the content to the Videos section instead of Reels, despite selecting Reels as the content type.

Secondary Issues

  1. Complete failure to publish on X.com
  2. Complete failure to publish on Pinterest

Impact

Users attempting to manage cross-platform content distribution are forced to:

  • Manually republish content on X.com and Pinterest
  • Accept incorrect content placement on Facebook
  • Handle inconsistent behavior across platforms

Additional Context

While it's understood that not all platforms support Reels format, the system should gracefully handle this by:

  1. Publishing to Reels where supported (Instagram, Facebook)
  2. Converting to standard video posts where Reels aren't supported (LinkedIn, X.com, Pinterest)

Environment

  • Feature: Adobe Express Schedule functionality
  • Action: Cross-platform video publication
  • Content Type: Reels/Video content
  • Platforms Affected: Facebook, X.com, Pinterest

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Create a video in Adobe Express
  2. Select Schedule feature
  3. Choose multiple platforms for publication (Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, X.com, LinkedIn)
  4. Select Reels as content type
  5. Schedule the post
  6. Observe publication results across platforms

Hi

@Andy Legenki

,

Welcome to the community! I'd like to inform you that we don't support Facebook reels yet and X and Pinterest need to be re-sized to square.

Let us know if you've any questions.

Regards,

Tarun
