How do I get back to the old version? I can't find my old files and I can't delete unwanted templates. The trash icon is permanently greyed out. This new version is not user-friendly.

Our engineering team has been informed about the greyed-out bin and is currently working on resolving this.

A workaround for deleting items, for now, would be:

  • Click on the item and hit the delete button on the keyboard

or

  • Right-click on the item and select delete

I hope this helps you further, but please don't hesitate to reach out at any time again.

Hi @PIC proConnect,

Thank you for your feedback, and I understand your concerns.

To access your old files, you can go to "Your Stuff", and there is a highlighted option that says, "Looking for files created with the prior version of Adobe Express or mobile app? We got you." Click on "Access files," you can find your old files there and move them to the new desktop version.

I understand that adapting to changes can take some time, but I believe you'll get more comfortable with the new layout over time.

If you have any further questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to ask, as I'm here to help.

You never answered the question why the trash icon is grey and disabled. I am currently stuck with several photos on a project that I want to delete off of the project and I cannot find a way to do something so simple. HELP

@MizAdder and @Laura32194579vd7x, apologies. In terms of the bin, I must have missed it.

These workarounds don't work. No matter what I do, the trash bin is grayed out. The delete button never does anything. I'm stuck with videos uploaded here that *CANNOT* be removed.

Same problem here. I can't delete the items because what it won't let me delete are layers in PSD...
