Changing fill of multiple shapes at once.

Why did the ability to change the fill (and outline) of multiple selected shapes at once go away? It now just gives me the ability to change the outline of multiple selected shapes, but not the fill color. Why? This is such a time saver and seems bizarre that it went away.
