Express - Extreme lagging while doing simple text and image design: I could cry from all the AI

Hi there, I'm using Express in a Chrome browser on Windows 11. I have been using Express a lot for the last couple years or so, I used to love it and had come to rely on it for quick design work, but recently I have been finding it more and more unusable for extremely simple tasks. Right now, for instance, I am working on a very simple design with some text and one image. I am simply resizing and re-positioning text, and the lag is AWFUL. It seems like every time I change a pixel the app is doing a ton of computing. Please, please, give us a way to use this lightweight tool without the baggage of every-expanding "smart" features weighing it down to the point of sinking. (I could cry from the all the AI.)

Thanks for sharing the details. To narrow this down further, could you try running Adobe Express in an incognito/private browsing mode or in a different recommended browser like Edge, Firefox, or Safari to see if performance improves?

 

Let us know if you get the same experience when you work on any mobile/tablet device. I’d also suggest testing with a different network if possible, and making sure that any firewalls or VPNs aren’t active.
