PNG and JPG files look low resolution when imported into Express

I've been working on building a library of  assets for a client. Every image I upload to Express, whether it's a high resolution png, jpeg or even a pdf, it looks awful (as if it's low resolution). I even did a test with an image I downloaded from Adobe Stock. I uploaded the file to Express (unaltered, exactly the same as how it was downloaded) and placed it at the top of an 8.5x11" page.  I found the same image through Express by searching the image number and placing the image directly from express at the bottom of the same page. Both images were placed at exactly the same size.  Please see the attached screenshot to see the discrepencies between the two images. If we can't upload images or assets into Express and retain their high resolution qualities, what are we supposed to do? I'm using Windows 10 Business and have Premium access to Express.

The issue appears to be fixed. Thank you.

Thank you! It seems to be working great now. I uploaded an image to my brand's assets, placed it in a layout and saw no degradation in quality when comparing it to an image placed directly from Adobe Stock.  Thanks for the quick fix!

Yes, I am adding assets from a brand. I upload the image files to Express using the "upload" button, then add them to my client's brand. From there, when I try to create a mock flyer, social media post, etc., I open the brand menu, go to assets, and click the one I want to add to my design. The image that is placed on the design layout looks low resolution.

Yes, I'm adding assets from a library.

Hi @carrie_0215 @Edward_Trout3955

Sorry to hear you are running into this issue. Could you confirm if, for the assets that end up with low resolution, you are adding them from a Library or a Brand? @carrie_0215 mentioned "building a library of assets" but also "I uploaded the file to Express".

I am asking because we are aware of a bug related to assets added from libraries/brands, but it does not apply to adding from a local device.

Thanks

Abhi G

I'm having a similar issue. Trying to use existing assets (that were uploaded at high quality and I have used in the past with no issue) anytime I add them to a file and do any sort of editing the quality goes way down.
This also  makes the remove background and erase features no longer work.
