Shadow randomly appearing behind text

As you can see in the image, the text has a shadow, while I never selected that. This has happened a few times before. Manually adding shadow and then removing that shadow luckily fixes the problem, but it is still a bit annoying.

I'm using the iOs app on iPad Air 5, with the latest software update.

Hi @SimoneCulifer,

Thanks for reporting this! That definitely shouldn't be happening. The workaround you mentioned—adding and then removing the shadow—is a good, quick fix, but we understand it’s frustrating.

As a next step, try the following to help prevent it:

  • Restart the app after it happens to clear temporary glitches.

  • Make sure both Adobe Express and iPadOS are fully updated.

  • Clear the text style: Tap the text box, go to the style or effects panel, and manually reset any text effects, even if they appear "off".

If the issue keeps coming back, feel free to share the exact steps or design template you're using—we'll do our best to help further!
