Wrong pixels when downloading

Hi Adobe, When i downlode MP4 videos from express it makes the wrong pixels format. I've been trying with different formats and when i do so it either jumps 1 or 2 pixels in size when downloading which is weird as i never had this problem before. How can this be fixed? Look at screenshots im doing a custom design in 611 x 550 px and when downloading it turns into 612 x 550 px

Unfortunately, the mp4 video spec requires even pixel dimensions; this is a requirement of the codec and compression algorithm used.

Here are some random related posts about this

As byou can see in this case I made a file with the measurements 611 x 275 px when i download it into mp4 it becomes 612 x 276 px.

When i then try to make it 610 x 674 px and download it to mp4 it creates it in 610 x 274 px in the mp4 version so no mistakes here.

It's only when I create content in the format of 611 x 275px it creates issues. And as we in the company I work in can't use a format that does not fit in the dimensions of 611 x 275 we can't upload it and use it as it has to be exact measurments of 611 x 275 px.

I feel like it's a bug and was hoping someone would help fix it. As it only becomes a problem in those specific px. When creating other content in other dimensions there is no problem at all exporting it from Express to MP4 to gif it keeps the exact dimentions all the way. So how can it be that in 611 x 275px this issue becomes an issue?

the whole problem is that if i design a file in 611x275px i need it to stay the same size when converting from MP4 to gif as where we are using these formats only allows these formats, so when the converter turns it into a wrong size i can't use the gif converted from MP4. I don't know if anyone else is having the same problem as I. However shouldn't it be possible to download a file down to gif directly where we are able to chose file type? 😄

Hi @default36020860oqsuvx

Yeah, if you converted an Mp4 to an animated GIF the result would be a pixel wider or taller but how is that causing a negative result?

yes but if i download a file in a pixel format and have to convert it into GIF then the pixels changes and that ruins the original pixels

Hi @default36020860oqsuvx

Our developers reviewed the issue and reported back that even pixel dimensions is a requirement for mp4 videos.
