Hello, my team is creating a resource guide and would like to have a hyperlink added to an image for people to be able to connect to a video.  Is this possible in express and how?

Hi,

At this point in time, you cannot link directly to an image because clicking on an image will display it in large size. There are maybe two workarounds I can think of.
1.) insert a QR code into the image. However, this would only work well with mobile devices.
2.) Install a "button" below the picture, which then contains the "link".

But you are right to have the capability to edit HTML would be very interesting!
Maybe someone else has a better idea, but that are my thoughts so far. Hope it helps.

regards,
Henrik

Thank you for your response.  Do you know more about this button option?

Did you ever get an answer to your question, Priscilla?  I have the same need.

The button option mentioned is in relation to a webpage file. If you search the available templates you'll see this option. This is the type when published results in a URL/web link that you would share with others.

The other option is a hyperlinking portion of text within a text element and saving it as a PDF.

Hope that helps,
Dave

I've submitted feedback about this lack of ability to add hyperlinks. What I do is download the finished project and add the link with my Adobe desktop app after-the-fact.

Yes, I was thinking of doing that as well.  But it adds one more step to have to do for each and every link.  I am trying to add hyperlinks to podcast episodes for a newsletter I am creating.  I DON'T want to have to do this or create the newsletter in PowerPoint or MS Punisher.

It has been almost three years since this question/comment was posted.  You would think Adobe would have made this an option by now.
