Can Express recognize alpha channels in video footage?

Hello all,

I'd like to bring some custom videos into my Epxress projects that I've created with alpha channels. However, it does not appear that Express recognizes those alpha channels? It just shows them as "black" rather than transparent after I import them. Perhaps I'm missing something? Any ideas? Thanks!

Hi @jonm18318314,

Thank you for reaching out.

To better assist you, please provide more details about the file format of the custom videos you're trying to bring into Adobe Express. Additionally, if you could share one of the videos with us for testing purposes, it would help diagnose the issue accurately.

I'm looking forward to hearing from you.

I used Premiere Pro to export a video using the following settings:

Preset: Custom

Format: QuickTime

Codec: AppleProRes 4444

The video, when dragged to Adobe Express, it has black background.

Hi have the same problem, I can see the alpha channel, the transparency into Adobe Express.
How does Express recognize alpha channels in video footage?

Hello,

I'm also experiencing the same issue.

Does anyone know if there are plans to address this in the near future? It would be really helpful to have the ability to add custom animations of your logo in the video editor.
Thank you!
