I am writing to inquire about the commercial use of Adobe Express design assets. I recently came across a tutorial video (https://youtu.be/-L-w-QJqWKA?si=Rjz9S2is_Q1BtRwq&t=371) on Printify's official channel that demonstrates how to create designs using Adobe Express assets for commercial purposes.
However, I have read the Adobe Express terms and conditions, which seem to prohibit commercial use. I believe there is a discrepancy between the tutorial and the terms of service.
I would greatly appreciate it if you could provide a clear explanation regarding the commercial use of Adobe Express design assets. Specifically, I would like to know if it is permissible to use these assets to create designs for products that will be sold on platforms like Printify.
Thank you for your time and attention to this matter.
Hi @Marine,
Thanks for joining the Adobe Express Community!
Adobe Express can be used for business purposes like any other Adobe product.
The offered Adobe assets (designs/shapes/logos) are Adobe property. To create your own work for profit, you must modify them.
For additional information, please refer to this article: Adobe General Terms of Use.
Enjoy using Adobe Express to create!

Hi @Fred_Cracklin9496
Please see our general terms of use and Adobe Express additional terms for creating work for commercial purposes.
Best,
Dave
Yes, you can use Adobe Express design assets for commercial purposes. However, there are some important considerations:
Originality: You need to modify the provided assets to create your own unique designs. Simply using the assets as-is without any alterations is not allowed for commercial use.
Stock Assets: If you incorporate any Adobe Stock assets into your design, you must comply with the licensing terms specific to those assets. This might include crediting the original creator or purchasing

For typical social media use yes, the assets in Adobe Express are safe for commercial use. On this Licenses page there is more detailed information. https://stock.adobe.com/uk/license-terms#limitedLicenses
Near the top of the page is a handy table of what's allowed and also more information about the Standard License, which covers the majority of the stock assets. https://stock.adobe.com/uk/license-terms#standardLicenses

Hi @Liza
Welcome to the Adobe Express Community!!
You can use Adobe Express for commercial purposes, just like any other Adobe product.
The Adobe assets (designs/shapes), as they are provided, are Adobe property. You must alter them to produce your own work for commercial purposes.
Please check this article for more info: Adobe General Terms of Use.

Hello community
Following usecase as a Adobe express premium subscriber: i put an premium stock photo (those with the crown icon next to it) in Adobe express and place it in my project. Then i change the color, crop it and blur it a little bit. Afterwards iadd a layer with text on it and download it as a PNG to my computer. Then i will import it to my webspace on my server in wordpress .
Is this allowed, because i do not know whether my site counts as social media as well, or i am only allowed to place it on meta tiktok and X ? so may i export a new modified PNG, JPG or PDF outside from Adobe express on my website ?
The license explanation is not clear for me:
"With this license, you may:
With the Limited License – Adobe Express, you may not:

Thank you for reaching out.
Yes, you can use a modified Adobe Express premium stock photo on your website, even if your website does not count as social media. The Limited License – Adobe Express allows you to incorporate the asset into your Adobe Express project and publish or download your project for use outside the Adobe Express app.
However, you cannot download, export, or share the asset as a stand-alone file. This means you cannot simply download and upload the original photo from Adobe Express and upload it to your website. You must first modify the image in Adobe Express and then download the modified version.
For more license information, please follow the Adobe Stock License Terms link. It contains detailed information about all the available licenses and their commercial use.
Please also take your time reviewing Adobe's General Terms of Use. It will help ensure that you have a clear understanding of the guidelines.

Thank you Lyn_D for the quick and clear answer. I am not often used to get such a good support like here with Adobe (makes even more sense for me in keeping my Adobe Stocks 🙂 )
Sometimes its important to get a clear unmistakably example like yours to understand sentences that lawyers have "constructed". Now I know how far i can go without leaving the "legal area" in using the premium Photos in my projects.
Thank you again

Hi Lyn, I am also confused by the licensing types. I have an Adobe Express premium account and want to know how I can use the stock photos for the websites I build for my clients. You mentioned something like ''One can not just download a pic and use it/upload to the website but must first modify the image in Adobe Express and then download the modified version...''
What does it count as a modification if I want to pic exactly as it is and do not want to add any elements or other graphics to it?
Have been trying to google this for an answer but I am getting more confused by some answers provided far now. If you can help me clarify this it will be very much appreciated.
Thank you in advance

Hi!
I am wondering if the music inside Adobe Express is safe to use for us as a rather large enterprise / business? We do not want to have any copyright issues. We would want to add music to videos that we post on all kind of social platforms, for example Youtube, Instagram, Facebook, etc.

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/
p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.

I uploaded a short on my educational website and had it blocked for the music I used from Adobe Express. I was under the impression it was royalty free. Aparently it is not? What should I do ?

This just happened to me also with 2 videos on YouTube. I was also under the impression that with premium Adobe membership we had rights to use music clips in videos. Youtube claim says it is for shorts only (under 60 seconds) and both of these blocked videos are a over 60 seconds. (One is 1:06, the other is 1:32). I am disputing the claims, because of what I saw here, but maybe there is fine print somewhere that I can't find?
