Question

Convert to Gif is too small

Hi there,

I'm trying to convert a video to Gif and though I ask that it maintain the largest file size, my gif is ridiculously compressed and unusable once downloaded.

I've tried contacting support and they can't seem to figure it out...really hoping someone here can help. (I've attached how small it gets post conversion - it's literally unreadable)

Same here. Dissappointing to see no response from Adobe.

Hi @bkz730

This thread is outdated and there have been improvements to the size of exported GIF's since it was posted. I choose the large option and got a 2380x1672 dimension GIF for example

Dave

I just did this the other day, mine was still about 300 x 300 pixels. the file was an instagram size which was 1024x1024. youd think it would covert at the same size no?

Same issue. Craptastic conversion.  Didn't realize I couldn't just convert my current project in Express to a gif. 😞

I downloaded largest quality mp4  - 4K (37.8mb).  Uploaded into the convert to gif. The downloaded result is 462x462 px. There is absolutely NOTHING I can do with a file this small!

Ugh. Thought I was going to create a video for social media and a moving gif for email in Adobe Express, and that this was going to be a learning experience and enable me to make this process quicker than when I do it in Illustrator + photoshop.

Unfortunately this is a great big waste of my time! I'm so sad. I have a deadline that I'm going to miss now...because I didn't just do what I usually do.

Does anyone have a process that they use that makes the Adobe Express helpful for either the gif or the movie?

Same problem! I have the video at 600px x 580px and clicked on largest size with original size option selected, made the gif 386px x 374px?

Same thing here my video size created from an express file, is 1080 x 1080, i have orignal size selceted and its writing the gif at 274x274 72 dpi. why is it doing this, ive tried for an hour with every setting i could imagine. wouldnt original size mean the same dimensions as the video. im new to express and while this seems promising its missing a ton of features

Another useless feature from Adobe! . . . Lets hope they stop buying other companies out and destroying good software too!

Im having the same issue, I started out with the video base of a casino. and added some text. DL'd the MP4 and its nice, even the link to the vid shows it to be a large size as you can see herehttps://new.express.adobe.com/published/urn:aaid:sc:VA6C2:300d8aed-e7dc-4bf2-a09e-a953f796f0f6

However, when i use the Gif converter it comes out as a 342x192  which is just way too small to use as needed. makes the text hard to read and doesn't have the impressive look as the larger one. Now there is no original size option just the large which I selected. I attached the outcome of the smaller Gif. I really need this to work.  I had another project I started from a template that rendered fine, I see others are having the same issue for quite some time but no answers.. Help!

Don't have the original size as an option. Is adobe a joke now? Why do we pay so much to be ignored?
