I'm new to Express and see plenty of tutorials on adding Drop shadows to text, but when I use the Enhancement's function when clicking on an image and apply "Shadow" by the maximum, I see nothing added. Is there a separate function for "drop" shadow, vs. "Shadow". Or is this a feature that has not been added yet? Thanks.

Duplicate the Layer you wish to apply shadow to.

Blur the intended shadow layer.

Decrease brightness/increase contrast.

Use Multiply Blend if needed,

And/or reduce the opacity. Manoeuvre

Upper Layer so that it sits above this

shadow layer and looks good!

Hi,

the Enhancements will appear IN the Foto itself. "Shadow" Enhancements are for e.g. the shadows that are present if you have Pictures with Flashlight and yo do not want those harsh shadows.
Text-Shadows are applied directly to the written text. They both work differently. Hope that helps.

regards,
Henrik

Thanks, so there isn’t a function for adding drop shadows for photos directly into express. I’ll submit a feature request for this. I was able to create the drop shadow in photoshop and pull the photo into express.
Thanks again.

Drop shadow is an effect in Adobe Express that can be added to photos to give them a three-dimensional look. This effect creates a shadow behind the object in the photo, which makes it appear as if it is floating above the surface.

The drop shadow effect can be used to add depth and dimension to photos, and it can also be used to make them stand out on social media or other online platforms. In Adobe Express, the drop shadow effect can be customized by adjusting settings such as opacity, angle, distance, size, and color.

Overall, drop shadow is a useful effect that can enhance the visual appeal of photos, and Adobe Express provides an easy and convenient way to add this effect to your photos directly from your mobile device.
