Drop shadow photos in Express

I'm new to Express and see plenty of tutorials on adding Drop shadows to text, but when I use the Enhancement's function when clicking on an image and apply "Shadow" by the maximum, I see nothing added. Is there a separate function for "drop" shadow, vs. "Shadow". Or is this a feature that has not been added yet? Thanks.

Duplicate the Layer you wish to apply shadow to.

Blur the intended shadow layer.

Decrease brightness/increase contrast.

Use Multiply Blend if needed,

And/or reduce the opacity. Manoeuvre

Upper Layer so that it sits above this

shadow layer and looks good!

Hi,

the Enhancements will appear IN the Foto itself. "Shadow" Enhancements are for e.g. the shadows that are present if you have Pictures with Flashlight and yo do not want those harsh shadows.
Text-Shadows are applied directly to the written text. They both work differently. Hope that helps.

regards,
Henrik

Thanks, so there isn’t a function for adding drop shadows for photos directly into express. I’ll submit a feature request for this. I was able to create the drop shadow in photoshop and pull the photo into express.
Thanks again.

Ok, nice workaround. But way to many steps for a feature that should be mandatory IMO. Drop shadows are a must!!

I believe this is a feature which hasn't been added to the new version of Adobe Express yet. Please add your vote here to show support for getting it added: https://adobeexpress.uservoice.com/forums/951181-adobe-express/suggestions/46742428-adding-a-drop-sh...

Thanks
