I love to design things but I am a beginner. An app that has rulers and guides is easier for me to line everything up and ultimately it is one of the factors on which subscription I will subscribe to. If I am able to line everything up the overall creation will be better and helpful in the process.

SOME progress.
In AE, when you select an object or text, hold down ALT and the measurements will show up.
At least it's something. But more still needs to be done!

When is adobe adding this feature? It's incredibly difficult to use without having rulers or guides?

There's some great features here, but without rulers, guides and grids to place content precisely it's totally useless. Canva are about to raise the price on their Teams-solution by 300 % and I would still choose Canva over Adobe Express. What is going on at Adobe?

I'd suggest the product team figure out how to design a good product or monitor this page to learn about the basic things necessary for a quality product are so they stop losing customers.

What a sad state of affairs that an Adobe employee has to ask customers to lobby other employees for a simple feature upgrade.

I'm not sure this should be considered as a 'Correct Answer'. Partly because it didn't do anything but point to another dead end. I'd say it did everyting BUT fix anything.

Hello, I'm here to pile on. Please add grids and rulers, Adobe.
I use shapes as "spacers" and "grids." It's not ideal, but it sort of does the job.

End of 2024..... Wake up call. Designers inhouse are now embracing Canva daily for social media . We as designers expect certain things to work at a professional level. One of the main things is ... RULERS snd GUIDES!!! Please dont make the rules of what the software should be for. The public will determine that and clear the design landscape is changing. I've ben a professional designer for over 20 years and have been using Canva on a daily basis for 4 years. Why? Becasue it empowers other non designers to use the pltform to create posts. But real designers want to make clear bullet proof templates for non designers to feel encouraged with. Guides help SO MUCH. Do better Adobe. There is an opportunity for you to take ove3r this space but clearly Canva has you beat for now. Shame.

Absolutely, exactly. I'm in the same position, with the sane design experience. It is insane that I have to use Canva on top of my adobe suite.

Really? Do we have to start with the basic features of 1987 in Designing Software?

Disappointed. Bleed, margin, guidelines. Poorly done. One of the most important part in printing. I can't use the Express. At least the Canva has something to go on with eventhough not as clear as the Illustrator as the Photoshop. It's a shame.
