Licensing questions

As a novice I am trying to wrap my head around the licensing in two areas:

1. The logo maker, it seems it takes icons from "the noun project" in many cases and it's not super clear what the deal is when it comes to licensing. It doesn't give much specifics if you are allowed to use it or not or if you need a license from them in order to use it. Could anyone help out on this topic?

2. Can you save photos (free or premium) from adobe express and use on your wix website? Again the 500k limit is very fuzzy. I want to use some stock photos that doesn't have any particular meaning just to make the site look better but the licensing is so confusing to me with the 500k cap. Does that mean 500k can check the website and that's it? And how would one even keep track of that?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi @Errrre

Thank you for reaching out.

1. Adobe Express logo maker and The Noun Project

  • CC BY icons are free to use if you credit the creator. (© Author Name - stock.adobe.com)
  • Royalty-free icons are free to use without credit but require a paid subscription.
  • Check the license of each icon before you use it.

2. Saving photos from Adobe Express and using them on your Wix website

  • You can save photos from Adobe Express and use them on your Wix website, but each free image has a limit of 500,000 views per year.
  • If your website gets more than 500,000 page views per year, you must purchase a license for the photos you are using.
  • Find photos licensed under CC BY(© Author Name - stock.adobe.com) or with a royalty-free license.
  • Check the license of each photo before you use it.

For more license information, please follow the Adobe Stock License Terms link. It contains detailed information about all the available licenses and their commercial use.

Please also take your time reviewing Adobe's General Terms of Use. It will help ensure that you have a clear understanding of the guidelines.

If you have any more questions or require further assistance, please don't hesitate to ask, and if you feel this has helped answer your question, please consider marking this thread as the correct answer.
