Is there a way to lock an audio clip to a scene when making a video? I want to adjust a scene without having to rearrange the audio when I lengthen or shorten a scene. Is there a way to lock the audio tracks with a certain scene?

Hi @sasha_1662,

Certainly! Here are steps to lock an audio track to a scene in Adobe Premiere Pro:

  1. Link Audio and Video: Select both the audio and video clips you want to link. Right-click and choose "Link" from the context menu. This will ensure that any changes you make to the video will also affect the audio.
  2. Lock Tracks: You can lock the audio and video tracks to prevent any accidental changes. Click the lock icon next to the track name in the timeline

Adobe Premiere Elements

  1. Link Clips: Select the audio and video clips you want to link. Right-click and choose "Link Clips". This will keep the audio and video in sync.
  2. Lock Tracks: You can lock the tracks by clicking the lock icon next to the track name in the timeline

Adobe Express

  1. Adjust Audio Tracks: Open your design in Adobe Express and add an audio track. Hover over the green audio track panel to reveal the trim handles. Drag the handles to modify the track’s duration

  2. Visualize Audio Waveform: The green audio track panel helps you visualize the audio waveform and edit music, voiceovers, and other audio in your content.

These steps should help you keep your audio and video in sync while editing. If you need more specific instructions for your software, feel free to let me know! 😊

Best regards,

^MM

Hello, MM,

Thank you for the quick response. I am working in Adobe Express. Mainly, when I lengthen a scene, the audio starts to no longer line up with my later scenes. Just trying to figure out if there is a way to lock audios to scenes so I can adjust scene lengths without having to readjust all the proceeding audios.
