Hello,
Maybe someone can help me... I'm looking for the Typewriter effect for text, so in a paragraph of text the individual letters will appear one by one.
I've searched online and there are tutorials showing how to do this, but I can't find the effect where people say it should be.
At the moment I'm selecting the text, and under Text choosing 'Animation' but all I get are the options 'In', 'Looping' and 'Out'. None of the effects under these options is what I'm after though. Am I looking in the wrong place?
Hi
The automatic (one-click) Typewriter animation style is not currently supported, but is in development.

In the new Adobe Express web-based desktop app, you can choose from three main types of animation: In, Looping, and Out.
Customize your animation with settings for direction, speed, and more, and easily adjust the timing for when the animation should appear in your design.
Use IN to make text appear one letter at a time (similar to Typewriter effect).

Hope that helps.

Is it still unavailable? It appears to be a basic, simple animation tool. It was previously available. Why has it been removed?

No, not yet.
The new version of Express was completely re-implemented on a new technology platform. This enabled us to add several new features like video, live co-editing etc. Since these new features were highly requested, it was decided to make the new version generally available, even as we wait for a handful of previous features to catch up. So it's more a case of "not re-implemented yet" rather than "removed". I realize that this does not address your needs right now, but hopefully provides some context for the "Why has it been removed?" question.
Thanks for your continued patience.

Adobe does not preannounce release dates and anyone who might know would be under NDA and could not say. We'll find out when they announce.

Another vote for the typewriter effect - this would be a great affect and is used widely by other apps already
