New Adobe Merge Video Issues

New Here ,
Sep 02, 2023 Sep 02, 2023

The former interation of Adobe express to merge videos worked perfectly for merging .wmv files.  The new version does produces this error:

Upload failed

Your media encoding is not supported, please try a different file using a supported encoding.

Why is .wmv no longer supported and what can I do as a workaround?  I was previously able to go back to the earlier iteration and that still worked. However, I can no longer do this.  What now?  I need to complete videos for work!

Hi @Karen31750517vjbe,

Thank you for reaching out, and apologise for the frustration caused.

In the new version of Adobe Express, .wmv files are no longer supported for merging. The platform now only supports .mov, .mp4, and .m4v file formats. You can convert your .wmv files to one of the supported formats to continue your work.

I hope this has helped answer your question. If it did, please consider marking this thread as the correct answer. It may help other community members with the same question and inform them that a correct answer is available.

Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have more questions or issues.

Thank you for your continued support <3.

Lyn

I am getting the same message with an .mp4 video. Any suggestions?
