You can add photos from Adobe Lightroom directly to the project. 

You'd need to go to Your Stuff on the left side panel on the editor window, then use the right arrow (>)to go to the last option i.e.: Lightroom Photos

Your example is from AE Web.
I like to have this available in AE mobile. I do all my AE projects with AE mobile due to ease with a digital pen. Once completed its just a click away to send it into Lightroom.

On the same note, presently the AE projects can only be brought back to Lightroom as exported Image file. Would like to save the AE files and/or projects back into Lightroom Web and Classic so that when needed pull back into AE for further edits with all the AE objects intact. I think similar to what is been done with Photoshop Smart object and Lightroom integration.
Basically add a move to Lightroom photos
