I agree, it is confusing that when they open it in the Express Editor it looks "white". But it is, indeed, transparent. It would definitely be better if they showed a checkerbo

I agree, it is confusing that when they open it in the Express Editor it looks "white". But it is, indeed, transparent. It would definitely be better if they showed a checkerboard background hopefully that is something we can change in the future.
Once in the Express Editor they can then add other elements behind (because of transparency). Be sure to check the layer order.
It is not possible to download a video directly from the Animate from audio site with a transparent background for use elsewhere. That, unfortunately, is not supported by Express.
