Using glyphs and special characters in creative cloud/ Adobe express

Hi all, 

 

I'm using the font EloquentJF Pro, and I'm trying to figure out if it's possible to use glyphs (specifically swashes and special characters) in the text of a project I'm working on. 

I can make it work on indesign, but cannot figure out how to do it with CCE. Is there something I'm missing or is it simply not possible?

Hey @eesti_4782, Welcome to our Adobe Express community.

 

I was able to add these dots and other special characters to the Adobe Express project from the character map via simple copy-paste. You may need to add a text box in Adobe Express first and then paste the characters. You may also need to set the font within Adobe Express.

 

Can you try it and let us know if it works for you?

Thank you! I’ve now found more dots among the glyphs – interestingly, when copying from InDesign, some dots turn into regular dots in Express, but now I found some that stay the same.

Thanks for reaching out.

Currently, adding swashes is unavailable in Creative Cloud Express. However, you can try other options available.

You may click on the down arrow in font selection and click on MORE FONTS, this will allow you to choose fonts that may be similar to your requirement, e.g., Brush Pen, Calligraphic, Cursive, Marker etc. 

 

Please look into the screenshots for a better understanding.

 

As this release is just the beginning, and we welcome your feedback to build this new app together! I'd recommend you to post your idea here to get more eyes.

I would be interested in using the characters from the Adobe Garamond Pro alphabet, but I haven’t been successful. Is it not possible to use those dots that are positioned higher than the regular dot? I’m not referring to the bold dot.
