Why has a warning suddenly started coming up for AVG when I use Adobe Express?

I have been using Adobe Express for ages and never had this warning. Is it something to do with Adobe or my antivirus?

Hey @Charlongo79, Welcome to our Adobe Express Community!

Thanks for sharing the screenshot. You may need to add the mentioned domain to the allowlist for the app to function properly. Here's the list of other such domains that require access for relevant Adobe applications and services to function correctly.

Let us know if this helped resolve the issue.

Best,

This usually isn’t an issue with Adobe Express itself. What's likely happening is that AVG recently updated its threat detection rules, and now it's flagging something new — maybe a script, third-party asset, or even a cookie behavior in Adobe Express that it didn’t mind before. Antivirus software sometimes throws false positives after an update, especially with web-based apps like Express.

Couple of things you can try:

  1. Update Adobe Express (if you're using the desktop version or browser plugin) and AVG to their latest versions.

  2. Whitelist Adobe Express in AVG settings if you're confident it's safe — which it is, if you're using the official site (express.adobe.com).

  3. Scan your system just to be sure there’s nothing sketchy riding alongside.

  4. Try a different browser and see if the warning still pops up — sometimes AVG flags browser-specific behavior.

Adobe doesn’t install anything shady, so unless you're using an unofficial version (which is a huge no-no), this is most likely on AVG’s end. If it keeps happening, you might want to report it to AVG so they can take a closer look.
