Does not follow composition prompts

I've been usinf firefly for over a month now and this is a problem that I see often. I use it on a windows computer, using chrome browser. I use firefly to compose youtube thumbnail images which I want to have room for adding text for titles. As such, I usually want the subject to be composed to the far left or far right. I often have issues where the AI pays no attention to the composition prompt and composes the images with subject center, or subject just off center. Now that firefly is 'out of beta' and the points aren't 'limitless' like before, I feel the need to figure this out since I am paying for each image. This issue is not a one off issue, it has and is occuring often. Sometimes it does seem to listen to the compositional prompts.

Here is my most recent prompt that resulted in subjects in center composition. (photos attached)

(copied from community shared image)

"macro photography of a mystical abstract creature, like a phoenix, rising from the red and yellow, creative and artistic image, cinematic look and lighting, far right composition"

I also tried

"macro photography of a mystical abstract creature, like a phoenix, rising from the red and yellow, creative and artistic image, cinematic look and lighting, far right composition leaving room for text"

both gave me nearly identical images, like actually identical- It didn't even really regenerate the images it just output the same images. (which is another issue that is happening since "out of beta".)

My point/question is: How do I get the far right or far left composition with a prompt? What prompt words will get the subject placed as far to the left or right as possible?

Thanks

The words closer to the left of the prompt are treated as more important. Moving the "right of image" text further to the left in the prompt moved the phoenix a little further to the right. I am not sure if it was far enough for you.

Switching to 16:9 gets it more to the right. With this, you can then take to Photoshop and crop it to the apect ratio you want or even use generative extend on the top and/or bottom to get the right aspect ratio.

Thanks for your reply

I have tried the moving the 'far left composition' part of the prompt to the beginning of the prompt, which doesn't really seem to work, at least not all the time.

The editing in photoshop/lightroom has been my work-around. I guess I feel like there should be a way to prompt for subject placement and composition. I does seem to respond to the composition prompting sometimes, other times it pays no attention to it.

You might want to create a separate post under "ideas" saying you would like a control that gudes where in the image you want to have the subject of the image placed.

I get the opinion that it can't do left and right, but I think you have to describe what you want in the image. So maybe tell it that you want one half blurred and what to put in the other half.

Sorry, I couldn't embed that image.
