Currently have a Creative Cloud plan, which includes Firefly. However, when using Firefly on the web it tells me that I should purchase a plan. I was only able to generate 2 videos
Hello @JuanoPY,
Thank you for your message. I am sorry you are having this problem.
Users on Creative Cloud plans can use their credits on any standard Firefly feature (e.g., Generative Fill, Generate Image). However, users need to be on Firefly premium plan (or a Creative Cloud Pro plan in North America and rolling out to other regions as of July 1) to access premium features like:

The trial system itself feels fundamentally flawed. If the product delivered high-quality results, I might understand limiting usage. But when the output is unusable, it’s frustrating to have credits taken away for something that doesn’t even meet basic expectations. My first generated video was so shockingly bad that I would have deleted it immediately, yet it still cost me credits.
This entire experience has been a major letdown. After waiting so long for Firefly, I expected something more refined, not a restrictive, paywalled system that seems more focused on monetization than actual usability. As a long-time Adobe customer, I expected much better.

Our 2 results were pretty bad too, especially with people. WIth only 2 poor results we would never consider paying for Pro plan. Never.
We've never, ever seen a new creative or AI service roll out with only a 2 generation allowance.

With all the many free AI generating (text to video, etc.) software out there, I'm wondering if Adobe is feeling a bit behind the curve. But if that's the case, wouldn't Adobe want there AI software to be tested to the hilt by its users?

You're correct, I pay monthly for Adobe All Apps and yet Firefly isn't included. I had a trial period and have found MidJourney better than Firefly is at present (for still images)

Hi @Post Americas Hub 1
Adobe has recenly introduced Firefly Pro, which is an additional service on top of the CC plan. Without Firefly Pro, people only have 2 free Firefly Video prompts. The Generative Credits you are seeing relate to Text to Image and cannot be transferred to video.

Tengo 946 creditos y no me permite usarlos para generar un video en su nueva herramienta me sale una ventada que me envita a comprar mas creditos mensuales.

Hi @carlos_3889
I moved your post to this thread as it appears to ask the same question.
As mentioned above Generative Credits for Firefly Text to Image do not apply to Text to Video. Video generation now requires a separate plan - Firefly Pro.

Hola, estoy probando el modelo de video. Tengo créditos pero no puedo generar más de dos videos.
¿es un error?
gracias

I've moved your post here as it relates to similar questions.
I see there is confusion by users expecting generative credits that count for Text to Image generations to be used for Text to Video. Adobe has now introduced Firefly Pro, a separate plan for Firefly video.

The problem, Dean, is that Adobe's greed has so few boundaries that they are willing to force us to pay to beta test for them.

So we had to pay to be beta tester? Strange behavior!

Ahora, se aparece Firefly PRO y los créditos solo valen para lo que ellos quieren... que gastes dinero... Esto en mi país tiene un nombre: estafa.

Been a Photoshop user since 1998, been a subcriber of mulitiple products for years. After a really long wait, I finally got the approval email that I could try Firefly. Did a couple quick generations to check it out and closed the page since I didn't have time to evaluate it more. Went back the next day to give it another try and I guess my trial had ended...Really? That's it? Certainly not going to commit to $10-$30 month if its not going to do what I want and I'll never know if I can't test it out. You really dropped the ball on this one....

Incredible ripoff! My two five second experiments were: 1) with purely a text instruction and 2) with a starting image with a text instruction. Both were interesting to see animated, but my instructions weren't understood or couldn't be executed. This didn't discourage me because I was intending to experiment to improve the result as can be done with Firefly Photo AI. But on this third attempt, I encountered the paywall which informed me I'd have to pay a minimum of $10 to get to run 20 five second experiments. I could find no guarantee that Firefly would be able to follow what I had requested, as it failed completely with the purely text instruction and largely with the starting photo. It would be very easy to spend $10 in a half hour on experiments without getting anything satisfactory, and have to wait a month to try again unless you want to upgrade to the $30 plan which gives you 70 attempts (a whopping reduction from 50 cents to 42.86 cents per try). If you are satisfied just seeing ANYTHING spit out by Firefly AI video from what you request, then you might be a subscriber, but unless you work for a business who's paying for your attempts, I can't imagine anyone with minimal creative standards (and enormous patience with the current ability of Firefly Video to follow instructions) buying this product. I understand that the cost of the energy, hardware, and software to come up with these five second videos is not negligible, but Adobe always represented freedom to experiment until you get the image, music composition, video, website etc. you want, but this product completely obliterates that sense of artistic freedom. Dismaying that this isn't obvious to everyone at Adobe from Shantanu Narayen on down.

I was happy to receive and email invite to the beta program and try out the new features. I created a text to video prompt and generated a short video. It didn't capture everything in my prompt, so I tried to edit it but it began generating again before I could change it. Then I hit a paywall, so I couldn't test how it carried a character through a scene or try image to video. I reached out to customer service who told me I was only entitled to 2 free video generations. So I'm really confused about the beta program. It seems to be more of a 2 credit free trial, versus a way to engage with the product and provide helpful feedback. Has anyone else run into this?

Costumer service is correct, to continue using the premium features as video and translation we'll need an additional subscription sadly.

Same here. Adobe are having a laugh. Participating in a beta does not mean "You may use this feature. TWICE ONLY".
Having tried two image to video gens, I can report that Firefly is about one to two years behind many free AI image to video services available. So you're not missing much...

I was a beta tester for Adobe Firefly Video and it abruptly stopped authorizing its use but I was not informed the program was over. Can you fill me in on this? I paid for monthly use but there is text on the purchase page this will change.

Hey!
It's correct that the premium functions of text/image to video and translation isn't part of the regular plans (such as cc all apps). There is however a limited trail.
for using the new functions you'll need an additional subscription to firefly. Adding the overview below here, but you can also find additional information at: https://helpx.adobe.com/firefly/get-set-up/learn-the-basics/generative-credits-faq.html

Yes, Thank you. I have already purchased the monthly. What I wanted to know is when the beta program ended as I was not contacted. I want to know about where they are going. Will they extend the time to a full 60 seconds? Will control expand for additional features? So I need a bit more. Thanks.

Thank You.
Can you tell me where information is on future plans? Improvements with features, including time or links for short renders, looping by tweening front to back, or other planned features listed?
Conversations seem scant and likely due to how quiet development is. I will post more feature requests and bug issues and hope we can develop a great video AI tool. I would like more definition on progress and issues to keep my tool as useful as I can.
Thank you,
Garret Moore

Yesterday I got the mail that I am in the beta for Generative Video. I tried 2 videos and an hour later I was dropped off again and asked to update to Firefly Pro.
Don't know if beta ends or if it is just an issue.
