सीन 1: किसान और उसके पाँच बेटे – आपस में झगड़ते हुए।

सीन 3: किसान कहता है – "जाओ जंगल से लकड़ियाँ काट कर लाओ।"

सीन 4: पाँचों बेटे जंगल में लकड़ियाँ काटते हैं – शाम हो रही है।

सीन 5: सभी बेटे लकड़ियों की अपनी-अपनी गठ्ठियाँ लेकर लौटते हैं।

सीन 6: किसान सबको लकड़ी तोड़ने के लिए कहता है – एक-एक लकड़ी टूट जाती है।

सीन 7: दो लकड़ियाँ एक साथ – फिर पाँच लकड़ियाँ एक साथ – अब नहीं टूटतीं।
