Question

Adding a font from DaFont

I'm trying to install a font from Dafont onto Illustrator, "We the People" for a project.  I've uploaded the font I think to the Creative Cloud Desktop but do not see it in my installed fonts. It is installed on my desktop Windows, I can find it in my fonts there. When I try to upload the file to Illustrator the response is that it is 'already on this device' but I don't see it anywhere on Creative Cloud.  Any suggestions?

Hi @Anne39026692px11! To use fonts in Adobe Illustrator app, you don’t have to upload them via Creative Cloud — that is an extra step you can take to allow you to use them across devices and in our web apps. Installing them on your computer should be enough to get them into the app so it’s odd that it isn’t showing up for you! I just downloaded the font and tested it out to check and it is working for me.

Could you please let me know which version of Illustrator you are using please?

Hi Jake,

Thank you so much for the reply. I was able to upload the font, after
reading more in the forum. I didn't realize I needed to restart my
computer and once I did it was there.
Thank you very much, greatly appreciated!
Anne Fauber, P.A.

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/

p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.

Thank you for the info. Hopefully, I can delete it, I've been able to find what I needed after further searching.
