Hi everyone,
I wanted to bring up an issue I've noticed when using the font Articulat CF by Connary Fagen (via Adobe Fonts) in Figma.
There appears to be a mismatch between the font weights listed in the font's metadata and how Adobe Fonts is interpreting and serving those weights on the web. Specifically, the numeric weights from the metadata (e.g., 300, 400, 500, etc.) do not align with how Adobe Fonts labels or renders them. This discrepancy is creating confusion for both designers and developers when translating designs from Figma to code, as the intended visual weight doesn't always match what ends up on the site.
It's particularly problematic when developers try to match the design spec using numeric font-weight values in CSS, only to find that the visual result doesn’t match the original Figma design.
Has anyone else run into this issue? Is there a known workaround, or has Adobe provided any clarification on this behaviour?
Thanks!

Hi
@LouiseCollins,
Welcome to the community! We're sorry for the delay. Could you please let us know if you're using fonts from Adobe Fonts only, or if you have font files you've received from the foundry/purchased separately?
Regards,
Tarun

I am using fonts from the Adobe fonts only - https://fonts.adobe.com/fonts/articulat-cf
Thanks,

I am having the same issue with Halyard text font family
the font weight of "Halyard text book" is showing as weight "300" on Adobe fonts
However when weight "300" is actually added to the code it is displaying a font weight consistent with "Halyard text regular" which is the next weight size up.
Only when the developer updates the weight to "200" does it show a weight consistent with "Halyard text book"
The "Halyard text regular" weight has the same issue, so I can only assume that the whole font family has been labeled incorrectly
