Fonts not visible in all programs under Windows

I use fonts from the Adobe Fonts library, which are installed locally via the Adobe Font Manager. However, these fonts do not appear in all of my Windows programs.

For example, I can see the fonts in MS Word and WordPad, but they are missing in programs like Blender (version 4.2) and Filmora Wondershare (version 13). I have tried several solutions suggested by the community, such as toggling the Adobe Fonts option under preferences and restarting my computer, but none of these have resolved the issue.

It appears that some programs require fonts to be installed in the Windows Fonts directory, which does not seem to apply to Adobe Fonts.

Any hints or solutions to help me resolve this problem would be greatly appreciated.

Does Blender and Filmora Wondershare "see" any of the fonts added/installed via Adobe Fonts? Or is it just certain fonts? If only certain fonts added/installed from Adobe Fonts are missing is there something different about those fonts? Are they Variable Fonts or SVG Color Fonts? Some applications do not support those newer font formats.

My observation is that neither tool recognizes any of the fonts from Adobe. While I can download and install any free font on Windows, making it available for these tools, the Gothik font from Adobe, which I used for testing, is not freely available. But I have the purchased version. So, when I install it via Adobe, it remains ‘invisible’ to most applications on Windows. Some native Microsoft applications can see and use the font, but tools like Filmora Wondershare or Blender cannot. However, if I install the same font (purchased version) using the Windows font installation option, it becomes available for these tools. The fonts I use are standard OTF or TTF formats. Although I am not sure what formats Adobe provides via its Adobe Font sync, I assume they are the same.

When adding/installing fonts from the Adobe Fonts service it doesn't place any easily visible files onto the computer's hard disc like one can see by opening the C:\Windows\Fonts folder. I don't understand the mechanics of how Adobe Fonts is able to make "added" fonts visible to only Adobe apps and "installed" fonts visible to all apps on the computer. Usually the process works. I'm guessing Blender and Filmora Wondershare are just loading the fonts they "see" in Windows' Fonts folder when the apps are launched.

Thanks for your reply, it confirms my observation. I reached out to the supplier of Wondershare to see if they're up for handling this issue on their own.
