Hello:
I am needing to download a font file from my Adobe fonts. Currently I can only activate it but cannot download anything. I need it to upload to my squarespace website. Please advise.
Thanks
Hi there,
Thank you for reaching out. The Adobe Fonts can only be activated and cannot be downloaded on your system the same way that your local fonts are, so they won’t show up in your font management software or in the system fonts folder.
Hope it helps.
Thanks,
Harshika

That's why I only use Google Fonts. You get the files for printers, outsourcing, etc.; most of them come with a web version so your BRAND stays seamless across ALL your mediums. I only use Adobe Fonts for internal use to be safe, but recently I've been backing off and sticking with Gfonts it makes more sense in the long game.

My company is probably going to give up on using Adobe fonts for print. The "cloud"-based approach leads to all sorts of glitches we don't get when we host the files ourselves. We are constantly having to deactivate/reactivate fonts, recreate preferences etc, just to keep our regular fonts working in our regular templates. We can fix an inactive font for one file and then the same problem occurs again in the same file on a different machine or in a different file on the same machine. Total anarchy. In comparison to this, the traditional method of simply purchasing the files themselves and installing them on the local operating system is far superior.

I'm not the biggest fan of Google but they do have a large, free, high-quality font library that you can download.

To download Adobe Fonts, you typically need an Adobe Creative Cloud subscription. Here's how to do it:
Access Adobe Fonts: Go to the Adobe Fonts website (fonts.adobe.com) and sign in with your Adobe ID associated with your Creative Cloud subscription.
Browse Fonts: Browse through the extensive library of fonts available on Adobe Fonts. You can filter fonts by categories, styles, and more to find the perfect ones for your projects.
Activate Fonts: Once you've found the fonts you want to use, simply click on the "Activate" button next to each font. This adds the fonts to your active font list.
Sync Fonts: After activating the fonts you need, you'll need to sync them to your computer. To do this, open the Creative Cloud desktop app, go to the Fonts section, and click the "Sync Fonts" button. This will download and install the activated fonts onto your computer.
Use Fonts: Once the fonts are synced to your computer, you can use them in any supported application, such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or InDesign.
That's it! You've successfully downloaded and installed Adobe Fonts. Enjoy using them in your creative projects!
