Open Type Licensing Rules

New Here ,
Oct 18, 2022 Oct 18, 2022

I found a font called "Gill Sans Ultra Bold" in the fonts list in Illustrator, with the little 'O' next to it which I believe indicates it is Open Type.

I cannot find this exact font when I search adobe fonts on the website - there is a similar font called "Gills Sans Nova Ultra Bold", but it is not exactly the same, for example the quotation mark glyphs are clearly different.

So is Gill Sans Ultra Bold covered under the same licensing rules as other Adobe fonts? Or are they different for open type fonts that don't show up in the fonts library on the website? If so, what are the licensing rules for those types of fonts?

Thank you

Hi @default3hfx8ofixbvs ,

Thanks for reaching out. I would like to inform you that Gill Sans Nova is a different font than Gill Sans. We don’t offer Gill Sans, but you can purchase a license from www.myfonts.com

Let me know if that helps.

Regards,

Tarun
