There is no option to password protect a video file created by Media Encoder, as it just creates normal files. However, if you're a Creative Cloud subscriber, Frame.io is now included with your subscription. Frame.io has many options for sharing files - and enabling (if you wish) for people to provide feedback on those files. These options can be password protected and you can even set a URL to expire after a certain date. More information is available here: https://www.adobe.com/creativecloud/video/review-and-collaboration.html

Yes, you could do this using Frame.io. You would:

1. Transcode your file using Media Encloder.

2. Upload it to your Frame.io account.

3. Create a Presentation link for the media and choose the options to password protect the link and to permit the client to download the file.

4. Send the link to your client and provide them the password.

With that, your client can download the file and play it normally in any app.
