Adobe Media Encoder 22.5 EXTREMELY SLOW

I'm using AME to render my AE comp as always, but after this last update you broke something!! Now it's taking hours, and when it reaches 100% it never ends the render. And I'm using CUDA, but it's only using 5% of my GPU.

I can't you don't test this before launching an update !

Sorry to hear that. Do you have any third-party plugins installed? Could you check if there's any update for your GPU driver?

I'm having the same issue.
Renders that normally take me 1 or 2 minutes are now taking 10-15 minutes and they reach 100%, then never complete.
This is a VERY big problem for our business. Please advise ASAP with detailed steps on how to resolve.

All adobe apps up to date.
I have some AE plugins installed but nothing I have installed recently. Everything was working fine until a day or two ago.

Updating to OSX 12.4 resolved this for me.

Try clearing your AE disk cache.

I am having issues also. Went from 22.4 on PP AE and ME and all of a sudden my ME won't work.....it either takes FOREVER to send something from premiere to ME or it locks up.

NO I don't have any 3rd party programs....and I did nothing but upgrade from 22.4 to 22.5 and EVERYTHING worked minutes before the update.

Media Encoder is unbareably slow and Premiere is starting to lag too. I'm not sure what's going on but there needs to be some optimization and a focus on speeding up the responsiveness of Adobe Premiere and other apps across the board. Seems like with every upgrade the software is getting less functional and more buggy. I thought it was only Photoshop but now these same issues are starting to plague Premiere and Media Encoder 2022. Its taken 3 hours so far to almost finsh rendering 24 mp3 files that are only a few seconds a peice. And the files took forever to export to media encoder in the first place. Im on a 2019 Macbook Pro i9 64GB, latest OS, latest versions of Premiere and Media Encoder. Please fix these issues. Thanks.

I reverted back to version 22.2.1 before they made it native to Apple Silicon. Obviously still having teething issues.

Hi,

I'm having the same issue, I noticed it last weekend. I waited 7 hours plus for a sequence to render. The same one, a few weeks before this update, was rendered in 1.5 hours. Just tried to re-install AME again and having the same issue on a sequence that is only 31 seconds with an alpha channel. I tried using a previous version and that worked normal on H264 renders but wouldn't work on my alpha channel sequence from the latest After Effects version. From the attached screenshot render to me typing this, it went down to over 6 hours, I've aborted it now. I hope this can be fixed, I've never experienced this slow and sluggish performance before. Please help, can't lose or wait hours upon hours like this? Thanks
