m2v and associated wav file.

Hello folks, I had been looking around for any DVD authoring that can use the m2v and wav files

created by Media Encoder without re-encode the files.

Sofar everything I had test will re-encode the files, so then how can you

use those m2v files, same with Blue-Ray files formats.

If the DVD / Blue Ray authoring software can't use it, what are they good for?

Thanks

Encore uses that format. I'm surprised the others won't.   Change the multiplexor setting in AME to create am .mp4 and try that.

Are you sure you did not create a setting that is a problem for the settings in dvdstyler? For example the max bitrate.

I still have my old CS6, but trying to avoid install it.

The curiosity is that we all know how powerful adobe video applications are:
( Premiere Pro, After Effects, Media Encoder )

Media Encoder have a lot of presets, and there is the dvd / blue ray presets.

Is hard to believe that no other software use those files.

And if nobody used those, then what for?

>>Are you sure you did not create a setting that is a problem for the settings in dvdstyler?
As far as I know DVDstyler will load the files as different objects, like loading 2 videos.

the software does not know that the wav file is the audio for the m2v video..

Unless I missing something, but I dont see how with DVDStyler.

For me I use MP4 only for videos and MP3 for music, I stop using dvds long time ago
except Blue Rays to backups, but i need to make some dvds for other people.

By the way, DVDStyler did a good job creating a DVD from an MP4.

Thanks again, friends......

Without re-encoding?

In Encore, you select both the m2v and wav when importing "as timeline." I wonder if there is a similar function in DVD Styler?

The high end Scenarist will use the Encore style files. Of course, it is base do the same authorcore licensed by Adobe for Encore.

With a Cloud subscription, you can install PR CS6 (with Encore) from the Cloud desktop.

But it sounds like you have it sorted for now!

Ok I was responding to Stan, and I hit the wrong key here and go no idea where to post went !!! LOL
Thanks Stan, I do have CS6, but the question was about hose presets, if there is any
other software that use those DVD / Blue Ray Disk presets.
DVDFab let you create disks, but need too improve, however a Blue Ray auto-start Disk
came out with no problems at all in video quality, Power2Go I find not to easy or many thing

to do with menus, DVDStyler, you see what you doing with no problems at all.
However, I had problems creating and using my own background, I have tested only once, so
I dont know much about it, I hear some places talking about TMPGEnc Authoring Works, but I got
no idea about that program, and I dont need another video production software, I am very happy
with Premiere Pro & AfterEffects, just add Boris & Red Giant and you got plenty to play with.

Just to clarify from earlier post I read, when exporting MPEG-2 DVD format and you do NOT want the (default) separate .m2v and .wav files (None setting), set MultiPlexing to DVD then it exports a single .mpg file with combined audio and video that may work better in other authoring programs.

DVD Multiplex.jpg

With MPEG-2 Blu-ray or H.264 Blu-ray, the setting for combined AV output is TS then. But for Encore, always use the default None setting.

Thanks

Jeff

Thank you, G-Person, for describing my issue so well, and SAFEHARBOR11 for the tip that made the difference:  set MultiPlexing to DVD.
