Media encoder 2020 keeps freezing while encoding

Hello,

I am very new to this but I keep having the same problem that I can't seem to fix. I'm encoding a 15 minute video on a Windows 10 laptop from After effects. the video encodes for a few hours but always freezes on the same frame. I've tried H.264 and DNxHR HQ. the media Cache and media database are on different hard drives. again, I'm very new to this and not sure what information is needed or what i'm doing wrong. I would be greatly appreciative for any kind of help!

What is happening on that frame in the comp?

Do you have any third party effects installed?

Is there enough free space on all of the drives?

Can you export directly from After Effects instead of through AME?

Thanks for the reply. in preview for the encoder it just holds on a certain andstops loading or sometimes just cuts to a black screen in the preview. I don't think I'm using a third party extension. I made video in Adobe Character animator and compiling it all together in AE. There seems to be plenty of free space in the drives. I'll try to export through AE but all the options tell me to go through AME. I'll look into it. Thanks!
