Working on Windows 10 with 2 projects, one of which was shot on Canon C70 with Zoom H4N as audio.
The 4K files from C70 aren't usable in PrPro. They won't even play in VLC.
Here's properties of one of the C70 files:
3840x2170 / Dr: 216312kbps, FrRt 50.00, BitRt 255kbps, Chan: 2(stereo), Audio samp: 48000kHz
I'm using Adobe Media Encoder (ME), which creates a 1920x1080 for editing:
1920x1080, Dr: 21238kbps, FrRt 50.00, BitRt 320kbps, Chan: 2(stereo), Audio samp: 4800kHz
The resultant video performance is fine - but the audio is either not there, or so faint it can't be heard.
I've tried many variations in Media Encoder, restarted the machine, made sure track targeting is set, adjusted the gain, verified the PC audio works with other (2nd project) clips (from a BlackMagic and Zoom F6).
The project audio from Canon C70 will be secondary - most of the time. But there are some missing H4N audio files I was hoping to be able to cover with C70 audio.
I tried opening an ME encoded file in StudioOne (audio) and it opens fine for video - but there's no audio. Opening base Canon C70 media in StudioOne throws 'unsupported codec' errors and won't play in StudioOne.
Are there common ME parms or places to look that would address the missing audio?
Or are there known Canon C70 exceptions to be worked around?
Thank you for any ideas/suggestions.
