Media Encoder CC 2017 just renders a test pattern

I have a picture sequence in After Effects CC 2017 which i want to render as H 265 with the Media Encoder CC 2017.

But when i start the process only the test pattern is going to be rendered.

Any ideas ?

There it is explained that something is missing, for example the footage.

But in my case everything is complete.

It's still not working. Just to make it clear: This colour bars appear not in After Effects but in the Media Encoder. In After Effects everything is fine. Just when i export it to the media encoder the colour bars appear. Sometimes it works, but most of the times not.

It seems there is a bug in the new Media Encoder.

Any ideas ?

I have the same issue with Media Encoder 2020. 

First project added to Media Encoder is fine. Second and third gets a test pattern.

I have the same problem now in 2021.

I import an image sequence, do some work, export to AME and the image sequence, which displays just fine in AE, is being replaced by a test pattern, the rest is as it should be.

To get it to render properly, I have to re-import the sequence and place it as needed. 

I just updated AE & AME to the latest version, same thing.

I expanded the composition size to 9:16 from 1:1, tghe main comp simply doesn't show, not even the background color I set! It's all replaced by that test pattern.
