Media Encoder gets stuck between 90-100%

When encoding, my Media Encoder 2024.0.3 regularly gets stuck between 90-100% when rendering - just never continues or closes off the file. I have experienced the same problem with earlier versions of ME as well.
If I press "Stop Queue", right-click the job and select "Reset Status", it usually renders the file completely. It just seems totally arbitrary and a bit annoying, specially when rendering an entire list of compositions and it get stuck on one of the first. Anyone with the same problems?

System: Intel i9 13900, 64 GB memory, nVidia Quadro A2000, fully updated Windows 11, display drivers and Adobe-programs and 500 GB free SDD-space at primary drive and 800 on my project drive.

Which source and target formats do you usually use? Are you transcoding in AME or sending projects from PPro or After Effects?

I usually export directly from After Effects (Add to Media Encoder Queue) and encode it to MP4 with default settings (High Quality). The encoder gets stuck in about 1 out of 10 times and it's especially a drag, when the PC has been rendering for an hour and trips, just before the finish line.

I am very sorry for your issues.

Did you try these standard things already? –

Can you please try the following:

  1. Make sure that versions of all apps match (required for DynamicLinkManager to work correctly).
  2. Verify your own AntiVirus / GateKepper setup. If applicable, deactivate temporarily to verify.
  3. Quit all DVA apps.
  4. Use Activity Monitor / Task Manager to kill DynamicLinkManager if it still runs. (On Windows, you need to open the Details tab to see dynamiclingmanager.exe in TaskManager.)
  5. Launch AME first.
  6. Open & export the project again.

Please let me know if this workaround works for you.

Also: did you try hitting pause and then continue/play in the queue?
