So, things have been working fine up to now. just yesterday, premiere pro started only importing sound from videos. I tried re-encoding the video, but got this error instead. Can anybody give me a hand here?

Media Encoder is not seeing the video stream in your file. It looks like the source video is a screen capture. See if you can transcode the file and try encoding once more. Let us know how that goes.

Thanks,

Kevin

Hi MartinF,

Can you show us a screenshot of your Export Settings dialog box?

Thanks,

Sorry for the quality, I’m taking the “screenshot” on my phone, because that’s what I’m typing this up on.

Something I’ve noticed is that the videos (I’ve tried multiple, or different encoders and types) are always shown as only “no video” and have the wrong resolution and framerate.

opening up the video using microsoft’s generic video player works fine, and the video is in the proper quality.

again, I’ve tried reinstalling, so the settings should be the default.

And yes, I do change the output file name when I export, of course.
