I have a fully transparent PNG image sequence rendered out from blender. I import via image sequence and toggle transparency grid and I have full alpha channel.
My problem comes when I export to AME as a EXR or a Webm, even if I have the alpha channel checked it renders out with a background and the source footage is showing it with a background.
I've tried reinterpreting the footage as straight - unmatted and premult, but no change. Also, switched everything over to 32bit float but that did help.
Also, running latest versions of all CC programs.
Any ideas why AME is seeing transparent footage with no alpha?

Hi Justin,
That sounds strange! We'll need to get more information to troubleshoot the issue.
Could you share a screenshot of the export settings that you've chosen in AME?
We're here to help.
Thanks,
Shivangi

Sure thing
This is from a AVI rendered out with RGBA. And when I look at the source info it shows it the alpha channel as black. Also, I downloaded a stock clip with an alpha channel for a sanity check and in AME the source tab shows it as black as well.
Seems like AME is not recognizing alpha channels.

Is this something I'm doing wrong? Whenever I import an AVI + Alpha .AVI exported from After effects or downloaded from the web, the source footage is black. What's going on? Is there something I'm missing?
