A lot of my work requires a lot of older formats. While I can do the same thing through After Effects I would love the option to select Straight Alpha or Premultiplied Alpha.

Yes! I need this too. A lot of (live) broadcast equipment require .mxf fill + matte. Since .mxf can not be rendered in Ae, we need AME to produce that. But AME lacks the choice for a Straight fill. And After Effects can not create a straight fill to send to AME.
My workaround for now: create a FILL comp with a levels effect that manipulates the alpha channel to show more RGB on the edges, and a MATTE comp that reflects the alpha channel.
