Adobe Scan app infected with virus

I have been using Adobe Scan app for years without any problem but yesterday my stock antivirus powered by avast on my android phone prompted that the app is infected with a Trojan virus. I unstalled the app through my anti virus and reinstalled it but the problem persists. I had to unstall it again as my antivirus was not letting me use any banking apps with Adobe Scan installed. Adobe Scan is my favourite app and I do most of my scanning with this app. Please help.

Hope you are doing well. Sorry for your experience with Adobe Scan.
Would you mind sharing a few pieces of information for further investigation:
1. The app version of Adobe Scan you are using (go to Home-> Profile-> About Adobe Scan);
2. The device manufacturer, phone model, and the Android version you are on.
3. Was the app downloaded from PlayStore or AppStore?
Look forward to hearing from you.

so is there any update on this? I just read the other new comment about the infected app enabling the virus to sending sms and buying things on the users phone. I am a bit worried now, even though I uninstalled it immediately.

Any update on this topic? It takes quite some time to get answers. It's the app safe for downloading again? I'm kind of worried and the long silence doesn't feel good at all

Hi @Pinziboy,
The app is very safe to download.
There are issues with the third-party antivirus applications, which our team has contacted for further resolution.
The fix will be implemented in the upcoming release.

Hi @Faraz Ali Khan @Maurizio26701503cgs1 @Pinziboy,
Sorry for the delay.
The team is still investigating the issue. However, this sounds strange about buying stuff.
@SalehAlruhaimi, Would you mind sharing screenshots of what exactly happened, as buying through a direct mobile service provider and sending SMS is something no app can do directly unless you have done a confirmation?

I just faced the same issue. Adobe Scan infected with a virus that actually sent SMSs and actually bought stuff through direct billing (mobile service provider).
