An unexpected error occured. Can no longer scan documents on Adobe Scan

Whenever I try to scan a document with adobe scan, the app freezes and says "An unexpected error occured." I've tried reinstalling the app, signing out then back in, restarting my iPad, but nothing fixes it. I need it to scan assignments for school and nothing I do is working! Any solutions?

Would you mind sharing the below pieces of information for further investigation:
1. The app version of Adobe Scan you are using (go to Home-> Profile-> About Adobe Scan);
2. The iOS version you are using;
3. A screen recording of the situation you experience.
4. Go to https://assets.adobe.com/files/ and check on the bottom left if you have space for the files to be uploaded to the cloud.

Good morning,
Was a solution given for this issue? We recently purchased a newer iPad (iOS 16.6) and now our Adobe Scan is having the same issue as the original poster. When we go to scan a document, the camera comes on and the 4 blue dots appear. Before we can capture an image, the screen freezes then goes black with the error message.
We have enough storage space.
I would appreciate any advice.
