Latest iPhone version of Adobe Scan just says "Loading File" with a progress circle under it on a gray background when you click any of my already scanned pdf files. Same for trying to share them.
Everything was fine before the latest app update. I'm on an iPhone 13 Pro with latest iOS version and latest Adobe Scan app. Restarting app doesn't help. Network works fine. If I go to Adobe online the pdfs DO open correctly. Just the app has the issue.
Ideas?

Hello Jay,
Sorry for the delayed response and for the experience you had with opening up the scans.
As per the above description, since you already have all the scans safe on the online portal, please try the below steps once:
1. Log out of the application once.
[ Please be informed that if any file is under the process of uploading, there is a high proabability that the file will be lost. In this case, I would rather suggest you to wait for it to complete uploading or if you have it in bac

Thanks for the info re Team working on solution. Shall try remove and reinstall and report back if issues.

Can you clarify? How do we backup a Scan that is stuck in the Uploading queue? I'm not sure that the concept of File applies as the UI does not present any associated Filename - so how to backup is currently a mystery.

Keeping a back up means, you have the document handy with you so that once you re-launch the application, you can capture and upload.
You can also try to manually upload the files through the online portal.

Not quite sure what you are saying but my assumption is "if you scan a paper document with Adobe Scan, don't throw away the original as Adobe Scan may get stuck uploading and when reset your scan will be lost. After reset you should be able to scan again ('capture') and upload". If I've got that wrong let me know.
"You can also try to manually upload the files through the online portal. Link: https://acrobat.adobe.com/"
Sorry, no idea what this means - maybe "if Adobe Scan is not working properly you can use another scanner to create a file and then upload it from the desktop to acrobat.adobe.com ??

23-May-2022: Same issue here with iPhone, iOS 15.5. Scanned document keeps waiting in UPLOADING state forever. It works one time if I log off, and log back into Adobe, but then the next time around, it does the same UPLOADING forever.
An ADOBE employee above has said that they know this is a bug, and that they will try to fix it (whenever, whatever). Meanwhile, when I scan a document, I go to the document options to SHARE the new PDF as a COPY, and manually upload the PDF to my iCLOUD from within the iPhone so I still have it saved somewhere and not lose it.
Guys, remember, this is FREE version, so we are at the mercy of ADOBE folks and whenever they feel like fixing this problem. I am about to trash ADOBE SCAN APP and just use the iPhone's built-in scan inside the iPhone Notes app. Best of luck to us all.

Already did that a few times as well -- unistalled the app, and installed it again. Please fix the bug, dear Adobe team, instead of peddling useless workarounds.

I resorted to Adobe Scan as a haven, after research and comparison, it was supposed to be the best among the applications for scanning and saving with high accuracy .. I am working on photocopying a folder of old documents and manuscripts on which my research and studies are based. The manuscripts that I need to save are more than 400 page, last night I stayed up on my feet for about four hours straight, during which I photographed 220 pages and I was happy until that moment despite my extreme fatigue..but suddenly the application stopped working and I lost all my effort in the blink of an eye!! I worked again and reached 50 photos, and the same error was repeated and I lost again .. This is a Terrible
and bad situation .. There is no option in the application settings to select an option for immediate saving to the phone’s internal memory or the additional memory card, I did not find any way through which I can access all the work The hard work that I lost, I have a few hours to return the manuscripts and documents to their owner. These are valuable things that I reached with painstaking and tiring effort. This application stabbed me from behind when I leaned on it.. I don't know how to do!! I feel so angry and frustrated...

Very irony situation:(
Its really hard to make such large documents its better to split them into multiple files with below 100 pages each, and to prevent it from filling up internal storage space & crashing too much only way thats working abit is, after taking all the captures we should not tap on save pdf immediately; at the screen we do all adjustments like filters & crop check we have to move slide by slide from 1st page to final page or in reverse order very very very slowly, then we can tap save pdf.
we've to pass to next only when the app finishes processing & loading the scanned prew of the current page, and yes this takes hous and hours.
Once we reach from one end to the othere we can do recrop or cleanup the pages one by one up to the end slowly.
Hope this helps you.

Hi @mohammed30388434uhf1 @Tejanwesh30563302ssmp,
Hope you are doing well. Sorry for your experience with Adobe Scan
Would you mind sharing the below pieces of information for better investigation:
1. Have you checked the different accounts you might have used with Scan (Sign in with Adobe versus social sign-in)?
2. Which platform do you experience the issue with? Scan Android, Scan iOS, and Acrobat online. Please login to Acrobat Online ( https://acrobat.adobe.com/) using the same login credentials as in the app and confirm whether your files are visible in Acrobat online under the Documents section in the Adobe Scan folder.
3. Are all the scanned files missing, or only some files?
4. When did the issue start? Any details about any actions taken then?
5. Scan app build version, device model, and OS version.
Look forward to hearing from you.

Hey there! I can totally understand your frustration and anger after losing all your hard work on Adobe Scan. Losing important documents and manuscripts that you've painstakingly scanned can be incredibly disheartening. But don't worry, I've been through a similar situation before, and I can share some tips that might help you recover your work and prevent further losses.
First, check if there's an option to recover deleted files within the Adobe Scan application itself. Sometimes, applications have built-in features that allow you to retrieve lost data. If you can't find such an option, don't panic. There are still other ways to recover your scans.
One method is to connect your phone to a computer and use data recovery software. These programs can scan your phone's internal memory and recover deleted files, including the scans you lost. There are several reliable data recovery tools available online, so do a quick search and choose one that suits your needs.

I'm sorry to hear about your frustrating experience with Adobe Scan. Losing your scanned pages after investing so much time and effort can indeed be incredibly frustrating. While I can understand your anger and frustration, I'm here to offer some suggestions and possible solutions to help you recover your work:
Check if the files were saved elsewhere: Sometimes, when an application crashes, the files may still be saved on your device, but they might not be easily accessible through the app itself. Use a file manager or search function on your phone to look for the scanned files. Check both the internal memory and any additional memory cards you have.
Contact Adobe Support: Reach out to Adobe's customer support team and explain the situation to them. They may be able to provide guidance or assistance in recovering your lost files or offer alternative solutions. They can also help troubleshoot any issues you may be experiencing with the application.
Try alternative scanning apps: Since you have a limited amount of time to return the manuscripts and documents, consider trying other scanning applications that are highly rated and reliable. Some popular alternatives to Adobe Scan include Microsoft Office Lens, CamScanner, and Scanbot. These apps offer similar functionalities and may provide a more stable and reliable experience.
Seek professional help: If you're unable to recover the lost files on your own, consider reaching out to a professional data recovery service. They specialize in retrieving lost data from various devices and might be able to help you recover your scanned pages. However, keep in mind that professional data recovery services can be expensive and might not guarantee 100% success.
Document the issue: Take screenshots or note down the specific error messages or issues you encountered with the Adobe Scan app. This documentation can be helpful if you decide to escalate the problem to Adobe's support team or seek a refund for any premium features or subscriptions you may have purchased.
Remember to stay calm and focused while seeking a solution. It's understandable to feel angry and frustrated, but maintaining a clear mind will help you explore different options and increase your chances of recovering your lost work.
