Auto filter feature to remove shadows

New Here ,
Mar 10, 2024 Mar 10, 2024

Guys, I need a filter option that can remove shadows. Grayscale doesn't get it done. I know Adobe can do it because numerous other scanner apps already do it and some are practically free. Am I missing a setting option or something because portable document scanning with a phone is highly impacted by environment.

Hi @Jeff359799671n5o,

Hope you are doing well. Thank you for writing in!

When you capture a scan, you get to the modify page before creating the PDF.

Once on the page, you should see the option "Filter." Multiple settings are available in the Filter option.

Would you mind trying out and letting us know if those work for you?

If not, would you mind sharing a sample image where you cannot get it done, and we can try to reproduce the issue inhouse and get back to you?

Look forward to hearing from you.

I don't think you need an image, it's obvious. When you take a picture sometimes there a lamp on top and the phone or your hand casts a shadow on what you're scanning. TGI's app should see that, and give us an option to sect that and remove it just as it works on photoshop.

Thanks @Arnold29259962yrmg for the response.

Let me take this up with the dev team for review and future implementation.

Agree. It's an algorithm already existing in photoshop so why can't we have that here?
