I need to keep my scans in a chronological order in order to keep track of the archival structure, but both Adobe Scan and Acrobat DC refuse to comply. I have defined the sorting order as "Date added", but this is promptly ignored, and both apps continue displaying the files according to the latest time of modification. I hence have no way of keeping track of what archival documents were in which archival folder.
One reason might be because Adobe Scan STILL doesn't save any relevant timestamps like, say, creation date, in the scans' metadata. This kind of basic information is crucial and has been requested for years. Why are we still waiting for features that shouldn't even have to be requested?

When you reach the Home Tab, click the three dots on the top right to change the view to "All Scans."
Once done, you can again click the three dots on the top-right to change the sorting to the date created.
