Files no longer transferring after Dropbox update

New Here ,
Feb 09, 2023 Feb 09, 2023

I use Adobe Scan as an app on my iPhone. Until recently, it was easy to share a file to my computer (whether iMac or MacBook)--files would automatically appear in the Downloads folder on the computer. Since Dropbox updated for Mac, however, files do not appear on either computer. It looks like the app is moving them, but they don't appear in Downloads or anywhere else. If I choose Airdrop rather than my computer, in the sharing options, files still appear to transfer but do not show up in Downloads. A search for the file turns up nothing--they are not transferring to either computer.

Hi @Timothy D.25268578hkms,

Hope you are doing well. Sorry for your experience with Adobe Scan.

By design, Adobe Scan uploads all the files to Adobe Cloud Storage. If you have Acrobat Reader or Acrobat Pro DC installed on your Mac, the files should automatically appear in the Scans list on the left-hand panel of the application.

If that is not the case, you might check for the scans here: https://acrobat.adobe.com/link/document/

Let us know if the files aren't present so we can investigate further.

Look forward to hearing from you.

-Souvik.

Yes, I see my files there on Adobe’s website. But I still wonder why I can no longer share them directly to my MacBook or iMac, which is much more convenient.

Hi @Timothy D.25268578hkms,

I tried following the below steps:

1. Open scan-> click on share for the scan I want to transfer-> click on share a copy-> The application picker list opens up-> I chose Airdrop-> then from the list chose a Mac-> The film opened on my Mac.

You may learn more about Airdropping files here: Use AirDrop on your Mac

As I said in my initial post, Airdrop doesn't work, either. I can see the circle measuring transferprogress but no files are actually trasnferred either to my computer icon in the applicaiton picker list or Airdrop.

Hi @Tim28367334q0n4,

This sounds more like an issue with Apple than with Adobe.

I would suggest you check with Apple once to get the issue fixed with AirDrop.

I never had this problem until the current version of Dropbox.
